Petr Fulín is preparing for final weekend of the ETCC season

This season of the European Touriing Car Cup is heading towards last meeting in Imola, races on the famous track will decide who will be the champion. Petr Fulín is arriving to Italy with the same amount of points as his main opponent Kris Richard.
After the previous weekend in Magny Cours, the position in the standings is even, so the title campaign will be de facto decided just in the last two races. Fulda raced on "Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari" 4 years ago during his debut season in the ETCC, but instead of reviving memories he is fully commited on the upcoming competition: "The pause before the last meeting was enormously long and I can't wait to be on the track again. Every racing session is great!"
But as he adds, dramatic scene of the last weekend is – in the context of the current season – something unnatural. If there were no controversial stewards' decisions in Slovakiaring and Vila Real, the title chase would be practically decided. "We can't do anything with questionable verdicts, so we are focused on our job instead. As usual, we are going to do maximum for the best possible result. Decisions might harm our efforts in the season, but from the spectator's point of view it must be interesting to watch the final battle," says Petr Fulín before the last weekend.
The Czech driver definitely hasn't underestimated the preparations for the finale – to add to his planned schedule he visited Imola during the last weekend durint Italian TCR series. "We wanted to be prepared as well as possible. We drove the races with heavier car in comparison to the others, I carried planned compensation weight for the ETCC races. It was simply complete racing test," summarized Fulda the weekend in which he got second and third place.
So, fight for every tenth awaits racers near Bologna, decisive advantage can be even the better result in Qualifying. Fulda adds to the upcoming battle: "The track is beautiful and whole team is looking forward to the finale. Even if we didn't make it, we must leave Imola with the feeling that we did the maximum for the best result. That is our goal."
