Almost home ETCC race for Petr Fulin
26.04.2012
Seven weeks - so long was the break between opening ETCC round in Monza and the second race weekend, which will host Slovakiaring this weekend.
Petr Fulin already knows the circuit near the Dunajska Streda from his time in the Octavia Cup and East European Cup and also reminded him in a recent test with his BMW 320si. Starting list for this race has grown by some other famous names. However, Petr's huge commitment for Slovakiaring should give him power to forget foiled weekend at Monza and to spectators definitely something to look forward.
PETR FULÍN
„I consider Slovakiaring as a peak season. Because there is no ETCC race in the Czech Republic, the upcoming round I feel like home race. I'd like to forget Monza and gain a nice results. On the other hand, I must say that result is not the main priority. The whole team has to play and even more hard work to gather valuable experience for possible entry into the higher league. And if all we get the maximum from ourself, there will be logical the result. Finally, racing weekend attracted by the fact that I will break from everyday business and in the moment when I put my helmet on I get in the another world, I am looking forward."
JOSEF KŘENEK
„As part of preparation for the upcoming Slovakiaring race we tested here about two weeks ago. I think the test results were positive and I hope to show the work which was done during the weekend. In essence, we have optimized settings for specific Slovak circuit. It's a bit slower than Monza and there are different kind of corners. We did not run over curbs so aggressively and good traction is more important. I think we found a good setup for the race and we are ready. But still need to take it as a preparation for enter to the World Touring Car Championship in 2014. To reach our maximum is important for us rather than the result."
