Petr Fulín heading to Monza for ETCC debut

ETCC is the top of Petr’s current racing career, BMW 320si is a new challenge for him and the technicians and mechanics of Křenek Motorsport and VEKRA Racing Team worked together two weeks ago during the test at Monza for the first time. Nevertheless, the results of the sole pre-season test were so positive that WTCC team Wiechers Sport offered cooperation and technical support during the race weekends!

Starting list of the first ETCC event contains 26 names, among which you can find a champions of different national series, and young talents. Only 15-years old Hungarian Ferenc Ficza will be youngest ETCC driver ever. The largest presentation has a BMW 320si, but Peugeot 407, Honda Accord Euro R, Alfa Romao 156 or SEAT Léon will be on the grid as well.

„First ETCC event is all new for us - a new organization, the new racing format with two back to back races etc. Interesting work waits for us, that’s for sure, and we are looking forward to it. I hope that we can avoid technical problems. Test went very well and indicated that we have a chance for a good result. The tactic and strategy, especially with limited number of tires, will be very important with this race format. I take it as preparation for WTCC entry in 2014, so not to make any mistakes is more important than the results.”
